Our Mission
We exist to champion writers whose work challenges, moves, and endures. In a publishing landscape increasingly driven by algorithms and trends, we choose to be guided by something older and more reliable: the quality of the writing itself.
Sam Lab Publishing House is a boutique press. We publish fewer books than the large houses, and we invest more deeply in each one. That means hands-on editorial partnership, thoughtful design, and a genuine commitment to finding readers for every title we bring into the world.
We publish memoir, non-fiction and children's books, and we have a particular home for diplomats, public leaders and development professionals whose experience deserves a lasting record. What unites every title is a standard: the writing must be honest, the story must matter, and the voice must be unmistakably the author's own.

How We Started
Sam Lab Publishing House grew out of a frustration shared by many in the literary world: too many remarkable manuscripts were being passed over because they didn't fit a commercial mold. The stories were extraordinary. The market logic said no.
We decided to say yes. Starting with a small list and a clear editorial vision, we set out to prove that literary quality and commercial viability are not opposites — that readers, given the chance, will find and love books that challenge them.
Today our list includes memoir, non-fiction and children's books, with titles published in English and Romanian. We remain independent, selective, and committed to the writers who trust us with their work.
